One of the best ways to find out if a wedding photographer does satisfactory work is to check with his previous clients. The product must go hand in hand with customer service. Be sure to check online for their reviews.
Meet Them In Person
Insist on meeting them before you sign off. DO NOT only communicate via email. If they have a front desk, or a studio is always a good sign. A studio means the company has been in business and has more trustworthy towards it’s company. Don’t just sit in a coffee shop and let them spoon feed you what they want you to hear. The proof is always in the photos.
Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. The question here is to what extent ?
Does your photographer communicate with you? Do they listen to your ideas?
Tell them about your “must have” list. See what they have done for other weddings and what the other couples have done. Tell them what you like and what you don’t like. Ask them about any creative ideas that will enhance your experience. Are they bilingual, so there will be no language barrier between the elder audience and them? Most of focus artist are fluent not only in english, but also in mandarin and cantonese.

Read The Contract
Read the terms and deposit structure. The hidden fees. The turn around time.
Make sure there are no surprises in your package and you understand absolutely what is included and what is not. A professional team should be able to outline their services in a clear and understandable fashion.
Book It Early
Wedding photographers are booked ahead of time. Check one off your list ASAP. As soon as you book out your venue and church, time to book the photographer.
